PUBLIC NOTICE

Temporary closure of West Lavant Road, Lavant CP, 13th October
2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that from the date specified below, West Sussex
County Council has temporarily closed to all traffic West Lavant Road, Lavant CP, in the
Chichester District under Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, on
West Lavant Road, outside of West Lavant Cottages

The emergency temporary closure commenced on 13th October 2025 for a maximum of 21
days. It is anticipated that works will be completed on 17th October 2025. The road closure is
required for the safety of the public and workforce while Portsmouth Waterworks Company
undertakes Emergency road closure due to a leak in the carriageway.

The restriction will be in place 24hrs

An alternative route will be signed on site.

Access maintained for emergency services, residents and pedestrians within the closed area.
