Please see the attached notice from West Sussex County Council about the proposed road closure of Pook Lane on February 9th 2026.

The text reads:

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that from the date specified below, West Sussex County Council has temporarily closed to all traffic, Pook Lane, Lavant CP, in the Chichester District under Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, on Pook Lane, between junction with Sheepwash Lane and junction of A286.

The temporary closure is scheduled to commence on 9th February 2026 for up to 5 days (it is estimated to be completed on 10th February 2026) and is required for the safety of the public and workforce while West Sussex County Council undertakes a daytime road closure, required to allow FM Conway on behalf of West Sussex County Council to undertake drainage works.

The restriction will be in place off peak only from 09:30 until 15:00

Access maintained for emergency services, residents and pedestrians.
